GENERAL ASSEMBLY MINUTES

 

Please find enclosed a copy of the minutes of the 30th FIG General Assembly held in Hong Kong SAR, China 13th and 17th May 2007 with appendices that were not circulated with the original agenda. The minutes with all appendices are also available on the FIG web site http://www.fig.net/admin/ga/2007/minutes.htm. As for Corporate Members a copy of the minutes is sent to the lead contact only.

 

The General Assembly adopted the FIG Council and Commission work plans for 2007-2010. The General Assembly also decided that the FIG Working Week 2012 will be organised in Rome, Italy. Past President Prof. Holger Magel was appointed as an Honorary President of FIG. APCGC from Romania was adopted as new member association. Other membership issues can be read in the minutes as well as issues related the implementation of the work plans and establishment of new task forces.

 

The FIG Office will send a hard copy of the minutes to all members within some days.

 

Please notice that as all agenda papers and minutes are posted on the FIG home page, starting from next year only the agenda will be sent to the members as a hard copy. The full set of agenda papers with all appendices will be mailed only by special request to the FIG Office.

 

FIG WORKING WEEK 2008 AND GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN 14-19 JUNE 2008

 

The FIG Working Week 2008 will be organised in Stockholm Sweden 14-19 June 2008. The conference web site has been opened at: www.fig.net/fig2008. Call for papers has been published and deadline for submitting abstracts is 15 January 2008. This is the deadline for abstracts and also for full papers for peer-review procedure. More information about the peer-review procedure is available on the FIG web site. Abstract shall be submitted online on the web at: http://www.fig.net/abstractdb/submit.asp?id=9

 

The first session of the FIG General Assembly will be organised on Sunday 14 June and the second session on Thursday 19 June 2008.

 

Member associations that are interested to bid for the FIG Working Week 2013 shall contact the FIG Director Markku Villikka by 31 December 2007, email: markku.villikka@fig.net.

 

6th FIG REGIONAL CONFERENCE IN SAN JOSE, COSTA RICA, 12-15 NOVEMBER 2007

 

FIG together with the Colegio de Ingenieros Topógrafos de Costa Rica (CFIA/CIT) will organise the 6th FIG Regional Conference in San Jose, Costa Rica, November 12-15, 2007. The conference web site is opened at www.fig.net/costarica. Deadline for abstracts is 31 July 2007.

 

FIG PUBLICATIONS

 

FIG Annual Review and the new FIG promotion leaflet will be mailed to the members separately as soon as they have been printed.
